The Red Mountain Cabana

It’s situated in Ciucas Mountains, in Cheia, 60 km away from Ploiesti and 120 km from Bucharest. To reach the cabana, you have to use DN1A to Cheia, and then take a 3 km unpaved road. The route to Cheia is a very pleasant one, with beautiful scenery and picturesque encounters.

The 3 km unpaved road is a challenge, but with a little bit of patience and driving skills, you can make it all the way up without problems. And it’s worth the effort.

Clean air, breath-taking scenery and lots of green grass you can lie on and enjoy the sun. It’s the perfect spot for a quiet picnic, but in case you came unprepared, you need not worry. The Red Mountain Cabana offers good food at an affordable price.

They also provide sleeping arrangements, it you choose to stay there for an extra day. The rooms are modest but clean, with a traditional arrangement.
